The pure heart loves to serve others. It is into loving others as itself, putting others needs first, their feelings, needs growth.
To the pure at heart any experience of love is equally appreciated.
To the the heart the neighbor starts with the persons or persons most close to it.
The heart simply loves the total intimacy of being.
Since the heart considers others as itself, loves its neighbors or intimates as itself, it speaks out the words that any heart centered in truth would want to hear. It risks the consequences of ego reactions knowing the illusion, the value and the purpose of such lessons.

![]() The GateWay of the Soul
It is through the gateway of the heart, through love, that we begin the discovery and exploration of what our true beings are all about. The heart resonates with oneness and love where as the head resonates with separation. The heart is such a mysterious and deep place, it is hard to understand. But it is also a place of grounding and of simple truth that we recognize quickly when we swim with its flows. Some people like to see the heart as a vast computer that is hooked up to the universal computer. This is because the heart seems to contain an unlimited resource of high intelligence that can be accessed if we put our attention into the area of our hearts, and get in touch with its feelings; with a still smaller voice that arises when we still our mind.
We find it difficult to trust our thoughts especially in moments of conflict because our thoughts come so quickly and then change so rapidly into their opposites. Heart intelligence on the other hand seems more trustworthy and illuminates us with a inner knowing that brings more peace and understanding. The heart normally speaks more through images and intuitive senses of knowing while the more egocentric the mind tends to gravitate more to the conceptual and the intellectual levels of perception. Though these levels of mental activity make find tools, when out of touch and separate from our more basic capacity to feel, they lead us astray and into psychological and spiritual confusion. I like to see the conceptual and intellectual aspects of mind as sort of sub-terminal aspects to the mainframe of the heart center. And the unique property of this mainframe is that it is networked to every other person's central heart computer.
Love always knows what is good for the whole. When we separate from the whole we separate from our own inner networked super intelligence called the heart. In this sense we can see that our individual minds act to their fullest potential when they serve as sub-terminals for the deeper intelligence programs that emanate from the heart center. A mind cut loose from the guiding force of love is a dangerous thing indeed. But a mind illuminated will the love flowing and radiating from the heart is the most magnificent instrument that shines with glory. So with this background maybe we can understand the following:
The pure heart does not let the mind control the seat of consciousness. The pure heart moves into the center. Upon the throne of consciousness it sits and reins supreme. The commander and chief of everything that we do.
